You'll learn how to simplify your thinking about lighting and editing, and take the next step towards creating stunning portraiture.

11:00 – 11:15: Introductions
11:15 – 12:00: Controlling light in the studio
Understanding strobes, modifiers, backdrops and basic equipment.
12:00 – 2:00: Hands-on lighting
You'll get up close with strobes to learn different lighting patterns, positioning of lights and how to create different looks with different modifiers. We’ll work through one, two and three light setups.
2:00 – 2:30: Mock shoot
We'll take what we've learned and apply it to a real-world shoot. You'll learn how to work simply in a small space and how to get the most out of the setup.
2:30 – 3:30: Mock shoot editing
Next, you'll see firsthand the process of editing a final image from our shoot, including color correction and toning in Capture One and Photoshop.
3:30 – 4:00: Q&A
4:00 – 5:00: Optional portfolio review
For those that want to stay longer, we'll review your work and answer questions specifically to your style and workflow.
